[Blog] "Kimbo Slice" shows off an improved ground game en route to decision victory over Houston Alexander to win his official UFC de...: Who would have ever guessed coming into the match up between Kevin "Kimbo Slice" Ferguson and Houston Alexander, that the fight would last more than a minute, let alone go the full three rounds? Not only did the bout go the distance, but it took nearly three minutes before the fighters even engaged, with Houston Alexander doing Nascar-esque laps circling around the Octagon as "Kimbo" gave chase.

"Kimbo" appeared to be in trouble, but worked his way back to his feet, then earned a take down to seal the deal, and possibly Alexander's fate in the UFC.

The win moves "Kimbo" to 4-1 (1-0 UFC) and assures that the world will once again see the former backyard brawler back in the Octagon. "Kimbo" proved to fans worldwide that he has improved his overall skills and is serious about becoming a better mixed martial artist, but also acknowledges that he has a way to go.

"I'm sorry about that... we did our best yo," Ferguson said over a chorus of boos following the decision. "You've got to give us credit. I want to thank ATT for everything, I'm still working on [my game] you know?
